BIOGRAPHY

Chris Duncan is a singer/songwriter, as well as an artist.

Chris was awarded a music scholarship to the Glenalmond College boarding school in Perth, and went on to study Composition at Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.

Chris will focus on his music – whereby he is a recognised musician and was nominated for a Mercury Music Prize in 2015, alongside names like Jamie xx and Florence and the Machine – then he ‘hits a wall’ and slips into painting for periods at a time.

Describing his art, he says “I find it very relaxing…you just do it and it happens over a space of time, whereas music is more head-down, more intense”. Chris enjoys contemporary art and would love to do a degree in art history one day. One of his paintings even featured on his Mercury Music nominated ‘Architect’ album (see photo to the left).
